Is there a way to trigger color group follow actions when loop is tapped?
As opposed to “record” etc. I have only had luck with the follow action occurring after the loop hit the record start ( and not on the tap that triggered the record as it catches up).

I'm not sure if you've tried it or not, but you can replace the default On Press actions when you tap a clip. Take note of the default actions first so that you can add them after your color group actions. Then use the + button, add your color group actions, followed by the default record action. The record action should default to 'after last'. That seems like it should work to me.
Follow actions only trigger when the triggering action happens. That’s their nature. As wim said you can set up gestures for actions you want to triggered when you touch the loop. Or you could set up a button to perform the actions including triggering recording.
